Hearing voices can be part of psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or trauma. Some people hear voices without any diagnosis at all — and not all voices are unkind.
Voices feel completely real to the person hearing them. Arguing about whether they are real rarely helps; listening does.
Kintota specialises in complex mental health support, including people leaving hospital and settling back into the community.
How a Kintota support worker helps
- Listening without judgement and helping someone feel safe.
- Noticing early warning signs and working with NHS teams.
- Support to get out into the community, keep appointments and keep living life.
